This mixed media painting of a mallard taking flight over the river was created with chicken, duck and goose eggshell. Ducks are part of the fall scene in the Central Illinois area where I currently reside. I love all the colors in the beautiful birds and it was a joy to create this piece. There is a protective coating on the eggshell, but the painting is best displayed out of direct sunlight to avoid fading.
